Mystic Messenger ~How to play~

It's a bit confusing if you played this game for the first time because it's different from other otome games or visual novel. I need some time to get used with this game too at first.

So basically, there are some things you need to be aware to get the good ending:

1. Your reply in the chat room and messages
2. Your conversation when they call (I'm not sure about this, but maybe?)
3. How many guest came into the party (The party's success depend on it)

The Story:

There are 2 stories you can choose after finishing the ending for the first time (you need to get at least one ending to choose it):

• Casual Story: At the beginning, you'll automatically go to this story. You can get Yoosung's, Zen's, or Jaehee's Route from this story.
• Deep Story: This story can be unlocked with 80 hourglass after you finish one of the ending from Casual Story. You can get 707's or Jumin's Route from this story.

Chat Room:

• Your response in the chat room will make the character affection UP or DOWN (Yes, it can get down :| )
• The chat room is readable on estimated time (it's the same time with your time zone). You can read it until the next chat room appear. If you happen to miss the chat, you can read it but you can't reply it (yup, because you missed the conversation). But you can redo it for exchange of 5 hourglass.
• Every day the chat room open on different time. Usually it has 1-2 hours interval. After midnight, it often open at 01:00 and 03:00 (You can finally sleep after 01:00 chat and read the 03:00 chat in the morning because the next chat open around 06:00 or 07:00)
• Sometimes after you read the chat, someone will call or more possibly message you. You'll miss the call if you don't pick it up or miss the chat room. But you'll still get the message even though you missed the chat (with different words though...)

The hourglass:

How to get the Hourglass:

Of course you can buy it with money if you want, but there are other ways to get it:

1. Give the right response in the chat room. You can get it randomly when the character give a bubbly cheerful with heart text message. But sometimes you can get it, and sometimes you're not. It really is random -_-;
2. You can trade 100 hearts for 1 hourglass.
3. After you finished one ending, you can access the Extra page where you can see all the guests who came to the party. If you read the guest story, you can get 1 hourglass each.

Note: I suggest to keep the hourglass as you can, because if you want to read the After Ending, you need to spend 20 hourglass for each character. And for Secret Ending, you'll need 10 hourglass for every episode (there's 2 secret ending and like 7 episode each)

The Guest:

How many guest you can invite is depend on how you response in chat room too. They'll recommend the guest after the first day. If you get the option to invite them, just choose to invite them (even though the guest is weird ^^;)

The guest then will send you email and you need to reply three times until they agree to come to the party. You have to choose the right reply or you'll fail to invite them. Be sure to read the last email when they agree to come because just then it will be completed.

Ending Route:

The game will have some branch after 4th Day. Then you'll go to the character's route with the most affection level. There will be branch at the character's route too, it either the bad ending or the good ending.

Be careful though, if you miss a lot of chat room (in my case, I missed 2 days of it) you'll need to restart the game from the beginning after the 5th Day. Or we can say it's a bad ending.

Save / Load:

You can save the game from the settings. There are 4 slot for the save data, and you can add more slot with 50 hourglass/slot.

Last time the time didn't stop even when I saved the game (so I need to spend so much hourglass to avoid the bad ending T_T), but now it works smoothly (maybe they fixed it?). So you can leisurely save and load when you can't play the game for some time. Only be careful to load it on the same time as the saved data.

I suggest not to read the chat first without restarting it with hourglass because it'll be saved as it is (without you in it) and it will lead you to bad ending if you missed a lot of it. But it'll be okay as long as you paid with the hourglass first.
